How long should I stay?
You can stay a minimum of 3 nights, but we strongly recommend one full week.
A week gives you time to:
- Join most of the activities
- Improve your surfing
- Connect with the community
- Explore the nature around us
- Actually slow down and disconnect
Most guests tell us they wish they had stayed longer.
How do the surf lessons work?
We offer one surf lesson per day (around 4 hours), including:
- All equipment
- Insurance
- Surf theory + practical coaching
- Small groups adapted to each level
(complete beginners, progressing surfers, and intermediates)
If you prefer to surf on your own, we also provide on-site surf equipment rental, with boards and wetsuits for every level.
And no worries about conditions, our instructors are always happy to recommend the best spot, tide, and time of day based on the forecast.
What happens if there are no waves or the waves are too big?
In summer, it’s extremely rare not to have surfable conditions at our local beaches, especially at Cortegaça and Maceda, where there are plenty of different surf spots to choose from.
If conditions ever become too challenging, for example during a storm, we always have a plan B to make the most of the day. This can include exploring hidden lagoons and waterfalls or enjoying a relaxed day of activities at the camp.
Our goal is always to ensure you have a memorable experience, whatever the waves do!
Is breakfast included? What are the food options?
Yes, daily vegetarian breakfast is included.
Our breakfast buffet is 100% designed to fuel you for an eventful day. You’ll find sliced exotic fruits, a wide selection of cereals, vegan porridge, fresh rolls and cakes, as well as regional cheese, eggs, and butter. We can provide vegan and gluten-free alternatives as best as possible (gluten-free bread is harder to find locally, but we adapt when we can).
