Easy to Reach, Hard to Leave
Located on Portugal’s Green Coast, near the seaside village of Furadouro, Salty Garden offers the feeling of being immersed in nature while remaining surprisingly easy to reach.
Just 30 minutes south of Porto and close to Aveiro, the camp is surrounded by vast pine forests, peaceful countryside, and more than 10 km of uncrowded beaches. A private forest path connects the camp to the ocean, allowing guests to reach the beach on foot in around 15 minutes.
Easily accessible by train, car, or flight, Salty Garden combines the convenience of a well-connected location with the feeling of being far from the noise and pace of everyday life. It’s a place where surfing, nature, and simple living come together in one of the most peaceful corners of Portugal.

Salty Garden is proud to partner with BONANZA The Land, a nature-focused project on Portugal’s Green Coast that shares many of the values at the heart of our experience: simplicity, nature, well-being, connection, and a slower pace of life.
Surrounded by forest, open natural spaces, horses, and a small community living close to nature, the setting creates a peaceful environment where guests can disconnect from everyday routines and enjoy a more grounded way of life.
Through this partnership, guests also have access to additional experiences available on site, including horse riding, massage treatments, Qi Gong, and other well-being practices offered by the BONANZA team.
Together, these elements help create a unique environment where surfing, nature, community, and well-being naturally come together.
A Little Off-Grid Village
Life at Salty Garden is designed to feel simple, comfortable, and closely connected to nature. More than just accommodation, the camp functions as a small off-grid village, where shared spaces and daily life naturally bring people together.
At the heart of the camp, guests gather in welcoming communal areas designed for connection and relaxation. Life naturally flows between social moments and quiet time, depending on how each person wants to experience their stay.
Scattered throughout the village, outdoor spaces invite you to slow down and enjoy the surroundings: shaded terraces, hammocks, open-air gathering spots, and peaceful corners surrounded by nature.
The camp operates on solar energy, with water-conscious systems and compost facilities that support a more sustainable way of living while maintaining full comfort and ease.
Your Accommodation in the Forest
Designed for rest and simplicity, our accommodation offers a comfortable and peaceful place to recharge after a day by the ocean.
Guests can choose between private bell tents or our cozy yurt, both carefully designed to combine comfort with a close connection to the outdoors. Each space includes real beds, bedding, and thoughtful details to make your stay feel easy and welcoming.
